WHO WE ARE

Three friends, one obsession

ATTERO started with three friends – Valentijn, Christiaan and Thije – arguing over which classic kits were the greatest of all time.

We grew up living for match days: cold metal stands, bad coffee, muddy pitches and that one shirt you wore until it was almost see-through. The shirt you never wanted to throw away, even when it was completely worn in.

We couldn’t find new pieces that had that same feeling – modern shirts felt loud, fast and disposable. So we decided to make our own. ATTERO is our answer: clean, retro-inspired sportswear with a story, not just a logo.

ATTERO comes from the Latin word meaning 'to wear down' or 'to break in.' It represents our philosophy that the best sportswear isn't fresh off the rack—it's lived in, broken in, and carries the story of every game, every practice, every moment.
